Semetipsum, latin word that literally means “his own self”, is a project, an happening, a wine, a surprising encounter that has to happen anyway: and it happens at Michele Satta’s.
Repeating last year Semetipsum event , renowned norwegian trumpet player Nils Petter Molvaer will be improvising in Michele Satta’s winery, letting himself be inspired by the location, the terroir, the landscape the encounter with the winemaker himself and by this year’s impressive wine, the Viogner 2010.
The event will be accompanied and completemented with images by Petulia Mattioli, which draw inspiration and will inspire the event itself.
This is the 2nd event, as per 2010 edition, arisen from the collaboration between the important Bolgheri wine producer and Eraldo Bernocchi, musician and experimenter in electronic music, Petulia Mattioli, video-artist, the Modena's contemporary art Galleria Civica curator Marco Pierini, and London based record company “RareNoise Records”.
The wine, exclusively selected for the Vigna Nuova event, will be bottled in a limited edition of 200 magnums; the label and the presentation booklet will accompany the Semetipsum 2011 special limited box. To be released in November.
